MetroLacrosse welcomes all types of volunteers. Playing/coaching experience are valuable attributes in our volunteers, but they are not required for all positions.
Please see our Fall Volunteer Opportunities listed below. If you are interested in any of these volunteer positions please complete the MetroLacrosse Volunteer Form. Our Volunteer Manager will contact you to place you in one of our open positions.
If you are interested in any MetroLacrosse Volunteer position, all new and returning volunteers must submit the MetroLacrosse Volunteer Form.

Team Coaches
We are recruiting girls’ and boys’ team coaches for the following types of teams:
North Teams - Youth and Junior (Grades 4-8)
- Locations: Chelsea High School (Chelsea)
- Season Dates:
September 27 - October 30, 2010
- Commitment:
Two evening practices per week, and two Saturday events
- Girls: Mondays and Wednesdays
- Boys: Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Morgan's Day: Saturday, October 2, 2010
- Adrianna Duffy Day: Saturday, October 30, 2010
- Mandatory Volunteer Training: Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 6:30 - 8:30 at MetroLacrosse's new office (25 Thomson Place, Boston, MA 02210)

Intramural Coaches
Intramural coaches provide introductory lacrosse instruction to 3rd-6th graders in community sites throughout Boston, Chelsea, Brockton and Lawrence. Throughout these sessions, participants will learn basic lacrosse skills and play fun games that incorporate their new skills as they get comfortable with the sport. We are recruiting girls’ and boys’ coaches for the following sites:
East Boston YMCA (Donald McKay School in East Boston)
- Dates: October 5 - November 4, 2010
- Commitment: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30pm - 5:30pm
- Mandatory Volunteer Training: Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 6:30 - 8:30 at MetroLacrosse's new office (25 Thomson Place, Boston, MA 02210)
Jordan Club (Boys & Girls Club in Chelsea)
- Dates: October 5 - November 4, 2010
- Commitment: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30pm - 4:15pm

West End House (Boys & Girls Club in Allston)
- Dates: October 5 - November 4, 2010

Lawrence Boys & Girls Club (Lawrence, MA)
- Dates: October 4 - November 5, 2010
- Commitment: 1-2 weekday afternoons/evenings per week

Additional Volunteer Opportunities
Can't coach a team or intramural program? Here are some other great ways to get involved.
- Education Programs: MetroLacrosse is seeking volunteers to help out with its Scholastic Placement and College Springboard programs, as well as tutoring for our participants.
- R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Referee: Attend Youth and Junior lacrosse games and evaluate the teams based on the core values of R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
- Lacrosse Referee: MetroLacrosse is looking for certified referees who will volunteer to work at our Youth, Junior and High School games.
- Special Events: Includes assisting with our annual tournaments and fundraising events throughout the season.
