Parents and Families
Parent and family involvement is important to MetroLacrosse. We know that when families are involved, kids have a stronger experience with MetroLacrosse.
Ways to Get Involved as a Parent, Alumnus, or Family Member:
- Volunteer
MetroLacrosse welcomes all types of volunteers. Experience playing or coaching lacrosse and/or working in the fields of youth development or education can be valuable, but is not necessary. If you are interested in learning more about volunteering
for an upcoming game or season, please contact Meg Hely at mhely@metrolacrosse.com or 617-288-9898 x102 or visit www.metrolacrosse.com/volunteer.html.
-
Transportation
We know that many parents struggle with how to safely provide transportation for their children to and from lacrosse practice.
To the best of our ability, MetroLacrosse provides transportation, the buddy system on the T, and/or connection with team members
for carpooling.
If you are interested in sharing transportation responsibilities with your son or daughter’s teammates, Carly Himmelstein at chimmmelstein@metrolacrosse.com or 617-288-9898 x103.

Safety:
MetroLacrosse takes every precaution to ensure the safety of its participants by teaching the proper playing
technique and by providing required protective equipment like helmets, goggles, mouth guards and pads.
Rules of Lacrosse:
Whether this is your first experience with lacrosse or if you need a refresher on the rules,
a general understanding of the game is important.
